Gary Dempsey – Visual Artist & Graphic Recorder
I’m Gary Dempsey, a visual artist and graphic recorder from the southwest of Ireland. My passion for art began at a young age, thanks to my older sister, Eavan, who encouraged my constant doodling.

After studying Fine Art Printmaking at the Limerick School of Art and Design, I received an Emerging Artist Bursary with Cork Printmakers. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of exhibiting my work both in Ireland and internationally, collaborating with various arts groups and organizations.

My creative journey has been deeply influenced by my travels with my wife, Zsiri. Our adventures have had a significant impact on my work, and it was while we were living in West Cork that I discovered graphic recording. This art form combines visual storytelling with real-time communication, and I immediately fell in love with the process, knowing I wanted to pursue it professionally.

I founded Think Ink, my creative studio that offers graphic recording, animation, and illustration services for a diverse range of clients. Whether it's for events, workshops, or presentations, I’m passionate about using art to communicate complex ideas in a visually engaging and accessible way.

When I’m not creating, I love spending time outdoors with my family, reading, or training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I currently split my time between Ireland and the UK with Zsiri and our two sons, Zente and Oisín.
